In partnership with The Guardian, Majority World, a photo agency with a
difference, is showcasing a selection of intimate images captured by
talented local photographers from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the
Middle East.

It is the first time the photo agency is exhibiting in the UK, promoting
emerging creative talent from across the developing world, and providing unique new insights into local cultures, environments and lifestyles.

Local photographers have an insider perspective that is unique, reflecting on and revealing previously untold stories close to home. Their privileged access enables them to develop an intimate understanding of their subjects and theme. Using photography as a powerful communication tool, they enable us to see something differently, or see something we haven't seen before.

However, whilst ‘insiders' locally, many photographers are ‘outsiders' on
the global image market, remaining under-represented as story tellers
about their own countries. Majority World supports these photographers
by making their work visible, and by enabling them to earn money by
selling globally. This is its role in opening doors. In so doing it also
contributes to a greater diversity of voices and viewpoints describing the
developing world. This is its role in opening minds.

Majority World is a socially responsible brand that sees doing business as a tool for doing good. Every image, every feature, and every assignment purchased is making a direct economic impact in the developing world.
