This film tells, through interviews, testimonies of consecrated stars and live concerts at wedding parties and in various places such as cafes, cabarets, party halls..., the dense, eventful and controversial history of popular Mezoued song Tunisian (popular bagpipe-based song), which was banned by Tunisian television during the reign of Habib Bourguiba, hated by the musical establishment and by the Tunisian intelligentsia of the 70s and 80s. It continues to have a reputation sulfurous and to be despised by the elite despite a relative media rehabilitation and a phenomenal popular success. This film sings, dances, celebrates popular joy and talent and sows a few seeds of collective memory.
