A reportage about the appalling journey of Somalis and Ethiopians fleeing war and poverty and crossing the Gulf of Eden to reach Yemen. The filmmaker traveled in one of these boats. He filmed the brutality of the people smugglers, the cramming of passengers into unsafe vessels, the misery, the fear. A disturbing account, one that denounces the unimaginable conditions of this exile and the massacre of hundreds who have no choice but to leave their homeland.
