On screen, Lúcia displays an indifferent look that conceals her despair, fear and fury. She is forever ostracised and silenced by a sexist society that never considers her opinions or desires. Lucia is the silent portrait of a woman coupled to a stereotyped roll, deprived of the right to be, to think and talk.
