The film tells the story of two 13- and 16-year-old children living in a working-class neighbourhood of Tunis. They come from a family under the influence of hardship and caught in the quagmire of political attempts, economic crisis and social turmoil. Public schools plundered, environmental corruption, families with broken wings… The two boys have no dream, except to leave the country because each is "his own republic".
