Guinea-Bissau, 1969. A violent war pits the Portuguese colonial army against the guerrillas of the African Party for the Independence of Guinea. Nome leaves his village and joins the maquis. Years later, he returns as a hero, but the jubilation soon gives way to bitterness and cynicism.
This film is being presented at the ACID at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival
