Omar, a civil servant from Algiers, fascinated with popular music and indian films, spends his spare time with his friends. Like them, he dreams of a woman he mythologizes rather than approaching a real one. One day, he receives a supposedly blank tape that has actually recorded the secrets of a young woman. Full of humor, charm and the right amount of cruelty towards the North Africans and the Arabs in general, Gatlato means "She kills", when referring to machismo.
