In 1998 Giant expanded beyond advertising into documentaries and feature films, producing Ian Gabriel's debut award-winning feature film Forgiveness in 2004. "F O R G I V E N E S S".
Giant Films has also supplied production funding, service
s and facilities for the production of the award-winning, feature length documentary "Main Reef Road (completed) and "Taking Back the Waves".
Giant Films is an investor and the producing partner with DV8 in the feature film "F O R G I V E N E S S", due for release in April 2004.
An important component of Giant's longform division is its commitment to training and empowerment. 10 trainees in departments from production to lighting, camera, grips and art department were employed on the feature film "F O R G I V E N E S S".
Giant Films is the only production company to be nominated for Business Day's Business Arts Sponsorship Award for its ongoing sponsorship of artists from all communities in Cape Town.
