Moz'Art
Claude Meillassoux, a leading French social anthropologist who influenced the development of Marxist, historically informed anthropology in Europe and in the English-speaking world, died on January 2, 2005, in Paris. He was born on December 26, 1925, in the northern French city of Roubaix.
