Dutch filmmaker.

Jan-Willem van EWIJK (1970) grew up in the Netherlands and California. At the age of nineteen, he moved back to Delft to study Aerospace Engineering. After graduating, Ewijk worked in the field of engineering until in 2002, when he changed course, quit his job and wrote and directed his first feature film, Nu. (2006). One year later, his debut was awarded Best Film at the European Independent Film Festival in Paris. His second feature film, Atlantic., premiered in 2014.

Jan-Willem van EWIJK (1970) groeide op in Nederland en Californië. Op zijn negentiende verhuisde hij terug naar Delft om Luchtvaart- en Ruimtevaarttechniek te studeren. Hij rondde zijn studie af en ging werken in zijn vakgebied, totdat hij in 2002 het roer omgooide. Hij nam ontslag, en schreef en regisseerde zijn eerste speelfilm Nu. (2006). Zijn debuut werd een jaar later bekroond als beste film op het European Independent Film Festival in Parijs. Zijn tweede speelfilm Atlantic. verscheen in 2014.
