RED PATH ("SENTIER ROUGE") c'est le cheminement dans l'esprit blessé d'un jeune berger, Achraf, et sa capacité à dépasser la mort traumatisante de son cousin.

Alors qu'ils font brouter leur troupeau dans les montagnes, deux adolescents sont attaqués par des djihadistes. Accusé d'être un informateur de l'armée, Nizar, 16 ans, se fait trancher la tête et son cousin Achraf, 14 ans, se voit ordonner d'aller porter la tête coupée à la famille, comme un message. Hanté par des visions, Achraf porte son terrible fardeau dans un douloureux voyage initiatique durant lequel il aura besoin de toute la fertilité de son imagination et de sa jeunesse pour survivre.

Director's Intention:
"Red Path" tells the story of how childhood, faced with extreme violence, also has the kind of magical power to transcend that violence by using the psychic and dream tools at its disposal.
Although marked by a bloody starting point, the film never indulges in it and only focuses on it to get to the heart of what concerns me: observing the mutations of my character. By focusing on this process, the film becomes Achraf's journey of initiation and the story of his emergence from childhood. "Red Path" is, above all, the story of a struggle for survival.
